Reflection Off Grand Prismatic Spring Runoff

Reflection Off Grand Prismatic Spring Runoff
People love seeing Old Faithful but, with every trip I've made to Yellowstone National Park, my first spot to visit is always the Grand Prismatic Spring for the colors and large size. Not only is it wide at over 350 feet but it's 120 feet deep. The temperature gradient is what sets the colors due to the colonies of thermophilic bacteria that grow within different temperature zones. In this vertically-flipped photo, you can see the small terracing that has happened over time due to the continuous outflow from the spring.
